National Association for Black Veterinarians Conference

This year’s event will be themed “Breaking Barriers to Veterinary Medicine: Working Together to Address Systemic Barriers to Access.” Our goal is to continue raising awareness of the disproportionate number of African Americans in veterinary medicine and to discuss ways to advance and secure the pipeline of Blacks entering the veterinary profession. We seek individuals to serve as speakers and presenters at our fourth annual conference and scholarship gala. The National Association for Black Veterinarians invites proposals of innovative, engaging, and substantive sessions that will raise challenging questions, engage participants with empirical evidence of “what works,” and create and encourage dialogue to encourage further efforts of diversity and inclusion within veterinary medicine.
